Cataract Surgery
Removal of the eye's cloudy natural lens and replacement with a clear intraocular lens (IOL).
This is a micro-incision, "walk-in, walk-out" procedure. Most patients notice a dramatic improvement in clarity within 24 hours.
Corneal Transplantation
Replacing damaged or diseased corneal tissue with healthy donor tissue to restore transparency.
Used for advanced Keratoconus or corneal scarring. Modern techniques allow us to replace only the specific damaged layer, speeding up recovery.
Vitreoretinal Surgery
Specialised procedures focusing on the retina and vitreous gel (e.g., for retinal detachments or macular holes).

What to Expect on Your Surgery Day
Preparation is key to a successful procedure and a smooth recovery. Depending on the type of anesthesia required for your specific surgery, please follow the guidelines below to ensure your safety and comfort.
Local Anaesthetic
You are permitted to eat a light meal shortly before admission. You will remain awake but the area around the eye will be completely numbed.
General Anaesthetic
You must have no food or water from 10:00 PM the night before. This is critical for your safety during the administration of the anaesthetic.
