In Theatre
Surgical Procedures
Surgery is performed in an accredited operating theatre, most commonly as a day case under local anaesthesia with sedation — so you go home the same day.
All theatre procedures take place under sterile conditions with full anaesthetic support.
Cataract & Lens Surgery
- Cataract surgery (phacoemulsification) — modern small-incision, suture-less cataract removal with lens implantation
- Premium intraocular lens options, including toric and multifocal / extended-depth-of-focus lenses
- Secondary lens implantation and lens exchange
Refractive Surgery
- Laser vision correction (LASIK / PRK) — reshaping the cornea to reduce or eliminate the need for glasses
- Refractive lens exchange with a premium intraocular lens
- Implantable contact lenses (ICL) for high prescriptions
Glaucoma Surgery
- Trabeculectomy — filtration surgery to lower eye pressure
- Glaucoma drainage device (tube) surgery
- Minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), often combined with cataract surgery
Corneal & Conjunctival Surgery
- Corneal transplantation (keratoplasty) using healthy donor tissue
- Pterygium excision with conjunctival autograft — low-recurrence technique
- Excision and biopsy of conjunctival lesions
- Repair of corneal and ocular surface injuries
Eyelid & Lacrimal Surgery
- Chalazion (meibomian cyst) incision and curettage
- Excision and biopsy of eyelid lumps and lesions
- Entropion and ectropion repair
- Probing and syringing of blocked tear ducts
Other Theatre Procedures
- Repair of eye injuries and lacerations
- Examination under anaesthesia for children and patients unable to be examined in the rooms
